UCF is an enormous campus that has it’s own stadium, restaurants, shops, and nature walks that everyone can take advantage of. Even if you are not a student you could spend a whole day at UCF enjoying the nature trailsand having dinner (maybe at the new Japanese Hibachi grill outside the stadium).
On our tour of UCF we met Dean German who is helping to create UCF’s new medical campus which we have been hearing a lot about from Orlando locals. She told us “There’s a medical city growing here that one day is going to solve the health care problems of the world”. And with my arm in a sling (from a skateboard injury) word of a new medical campus is very intriguiing!
After our tour we got to go to the Killers concert at the UCF Arena. First of all the Killers are awesome in concert, so if you get a chance… see them. As geeky as it may sound, the acoustics in the arena were AWESOME. Our friend Andy, who didn’t go on the tour even commented on it. Little did he know that just hours earlier we had heard about the extensive efforts UCF took to make the sound in the arena amazing. It was a blaring rock concert, but it was still comfortable, and accessible in both the sound and the seating.

Hey guys, you’re doing a great job! I know it’s not easy to keep this thing going every day. I’m so jealous you got to see the Killers, they’re one of my favorite bands. It looks like you’re having a blast each day! Keep it up.
