Today we spent our morning in College Park, a neat neighborhood just north of downtown. College park is
home to funky vintage shops, local boutiques and great restaurants (including one of our favorite restaurants that we’ve visited so far: K Restaurant). The area reminds me a bit a neighborhood you might find in LA. It’s very clean but a little edgy with bright colorful storefronts.
One thing you have to hit up in College Park when you visit is Truffles and Trifles, a gourmet kitchen shop that also offers cooking classes. Now Stacey and I are by no means Iron Chefs… in fact we can barely cook mac and cheese, but even we turned out delicious food (thanks largely in part to our instructors and cooking partners). It was fun to eat food that we created and have it actually taste really good! We also loved meeting all of the other students along with Truffles and Trifles hilarious owner, Marci Arthur.
